Assistant Controller – Manufacturing Position

Salary: $100,000 – $112,000 per year

About the Role:
Recruit Reliance is seeking an Assistant Controller to support financial operations and cost accounting at an aerospace fastener manufacturing plant. This position reports directly to the Plant Controller and plays a key role in financial reporting, audits, budgeting, and forecasting.

Key Responsibilities:
Perform cost accounting and oversee general accounting functions, including fixed assets and inter-company accounting
Assist in financial, internal, and governmental audits
Prepare and analyze monthly operational reports
Review and perform account reconciliations
Support payroll processing, non-financial indicators, and cash flow management
Handle financial closing for the Torrance operation
Provide detailed financial analysis and reporting to support management requests
Drive the operating budget process and assist with forecasting and budgeting
Ensure compliance with EHS (Environmental, Health & Safety) regulations
Report all incidents, including injuries, spills, fires, and near misses to management

Qualifications & Requirements
Required:

Bachelor’s degree (preferred in Finance or Business)
7+ years of experience in standard cost systems and manufacturing accounting (aerospace experience preferred)
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. (Visa sponsorship not available)
ITAR compliance (U.S. person status required: Citizen, Green Card Holder, Political Asylee, or Refugee)

Preferred:

CPA or CMA certification
Supervisory experience
Experience with QAD, MFG Pro, or Oracle
Advanced Microsoft Office skills
